Pentwater Winterfest

February 2025

A variety of activities occur over two weekends during February to make up Pentwater’s Winterfest. Included are fishing tournaments, cross country skiing, sledding, and ice skating.

Here's what happened last year:

First Saturday

  • All Day – Sledding on the Village Green- 327 S. Hancock St.
  • 7am-4pm – Annual Ryan Williams Perch Tournament – Registration is 7am-10am at Pentwater Convenience Center (4374 Monroe Rd.) or Port View Wine & Beer Market (560 S. Hancock St.) or register online by clicking here. The fee is $10 per adult or $5 per child (15 or younger). 100% Cash and Prize payout for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. The final weigh-in will be at Port View no later then 4pm. Weather permitting.
  • 9am – Yoga & Live Music at EnerG Fitness- 560 S. Hancock St.
  • 10am-1pm – Winter Farmers Market at the Centenary United Methodist Church- 82 Hancock St. Visit constantcontact.com for a vendor application. 
  • 11am – Snowman Scram 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run at Pentwater School. $20 for Fun Run, $30 for 5k. For more information or to register, click here
  • 12-3pm – Pentwater Pathways Open – The public is invited to use OCCSA’s adult and children’s ski equipment on a first come, first served basis. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Parking Area on Railroad Rd. at the end of Jackson Rd.

Second Saturday

  • Event coincides with the Michigan Free Fishing Weekend.
  • 11:30am – Kids Yoga at EnerG Fitness
  • 11:30am-Midnight – Mardi Gras at the Antler Bar- 283 S. Hancock St.
  • 12-4pm – Poker Run at Pentwater Galleries for a chance to win a prize.
  • 1-2:30pm – Scavenger Hunt with clues scattered throughout the village for children to find.

Both Weekends

  • Ice Skating Rink Open at North End Park (weather permitting). Ice Skates will be available to rent during business hours at the Pentwater Chamber of Commerce- 330 S. Hancock St., Pentwater.
  • Bonfire at the top of the Village Green
